Connecting with the Secretariat Webinar

January through October, the LCME Secretariat hosts a monthly Connecting with the Secretariat webinar that provides an interactive discussion of the accreditation process, including the intent and meaning of LCME elements and peer sharing of approaches to meeting LCME expectations in a way that recognizes the character of individual institutions and that encourages innovation. Designed to address both the specific needs of schools preparing for a survey visit and to provide a forum for all schools to engage in a discussion about continuous quality improvement, Connecting with the Secretariat is an off-the-record forum for asking questions and exchanging ideas.

Each 90-minute webinar typically starts with the LCME Secretariat or guest speaker(s) giving a presentation on specific “element(s) or topic(s) of the month” followed by a question-and-answer session. Participants are welcome to just listen to the proceedings or to actively engage in the discussion by submitting typed chat questions during the webinar.

Connecting with the Secretariat is a forum for medical school professionals and is not available to the general public. Send an email to lcme@aamc.org to be added to the email distribution list and receive monthly registration information approximately the week before each session.
